【原料是什麼？】
所有原料皆採用有機食材，但產品本身未申請 USDA（美國農業部）有機認證。因為取得 USDA 認證需支付註冊費用，所以屬於「原料為有機，但未登錄 USDA」的商品。
如各商品頁面所示，完全不使用任何添加物。
嚴選無農藥、非基改的種子、蔬菜與水果等，由專家以鳥兒的健康為出發點，配出營養均衡◎的全食餐。
不使用填充劑、防腐劑、亞硫酸鹽及其他添加物。
此外，雖然大家對「種子＝垃圾食物」常有刻板印象，但其實並非如此！適量的種子對鳥兒是需要的。BIRD STREET BISTRO 如上圖，採用低脂肪種子（Low Fat seeds）作為基底，就算是稍微肉肉的鳥寶也能安心餵食！（前提是控制適量）

I have purchased the Hearty Vegetables and some of the other products for my four parakeets. Parakeets can be extremely picky eaters. My four just love this mixture and all of the others! They eat off and on all day until about 4:00 pm until all of their food is gone. It is wonderful to see them so excited to eat in the morning. As soon as I put their dish down, they hop right over and start eating. Don’t hesitate to try this excellent food for your birds!

【PEGO 會推薦嗎？】
各商品頁皆有說明——本產品適合作為多元飲食的一部分；不過我們依然認為，提供多樣的生全食（未加熱的蔬果、種子、堅果、草本、椰子、昆蟲等）是最佳做法。
最初知道本產品時，我們並沒有好印象，甚至較為否定。原因在於近年歐美對「加熱型鳥食」多持保留，認為加熱過程可能產生（如丙烯醯胺等）四類致癌物，並破壞營養，因此我們反對將「高溫加熱製品」作為主流餵食。
但參考了廠商資訊與多份歐美研究資料後，我們判斷：本產品以低於 120℃ 的方式調理，相對較安全，因此決定引進。（雖仍不及生食，但相較於以 120℃ 以上製成的擠壓顆粒或餅乾等製品，風險較低）
BIRD STREET BISTRO 也正視加熱疑慮並提供說明，經專家認可為安全；且開賣 12 年來並無問題通報。對於不太能接受 120℃ 以上製程的顆粒、麵包等產品的飼主，本品可作為安心的選擇！
【誰在推薦 BIRD STREET BISTRO？】
配方係與鳥類獸醫、鳥類營養專家合作開發，在歐美的獸醫、繁殖者、門市與愛鳥人士間皆有良好口碑。
官方網站上公開支持的專家為 Dr. Amy Zhao 與 Brent Parker, DVM。雖非官方列名，仍有許多歐美專家樂於推薦！
Dr. Amy Zhao（動物科學者）
2014 年於康乃爾大學（Cornell University）取得動物科學博士學位，2019 年再於康乃爾大學取得以動物生理學、分子與細胞生物學為專長的動物科學博士。曾任畜產生物學、動物營養學、家畜行為學、比較解剖與生理學等課程助教。飼養虎皮鸚鵡與雞尾鸚鵡。
Brent Parker, DVM（Santa Fe Animal Hospital 獸醫）
行醫 34 年。1981 年於 UCLA 取得生物學學士；1984 年於新墨西哥大學取得寄生蟲學碩士；畢業於科羅拉多州立大學獸醫與生物醫學學院。1989 年於康乃狄克州紐黑文中央動物醫院完成內外科住院醫師訓練。
曾任新墨西哥州獸醫醫學會（Veterinary Medical Association）成員並於 2003 年擔任會長。鳥類獸醫師協會（Association of Avian Veterinarians）成員。飼養 9 隻鸚鵡。

因應大家的提問，我們聯繫廠商取得以下回覆。第 4 題為 PEGO 提出。
① 可以每天以此取代顆粒飼料嗎？
Yes it can be fed on a daily basis, in addition to pellets. Our believe is that a varied diet is the best diet. Not just pellets or mash of veggies. A combination. Not one bag has a complete diet, but variety holds the key. Bird Street Bistro allows parrot owners to introduce natural foods, including vegetables and fruits, sometimes added by the customer, to a parrot's diet.
「可以每天餵食，亦可與顆粒並用。我們相信最好的飲食是多樣化。不是只有顆粒或少數蔬菜，而是多種組合。沒有任何一袋能涵蓋全部營養，『多樣性』才是關鍵。BIRD STREET BISTRO 也鼓勵飼主加入蔬果等天然食材來豐富鸚鵡的餐桌。」
這並非「必須搭配顆粒」之意，而是指吃顆粒的鳥也能併用。本質上，世上沒有「只餵這個就萬無一失」的飲食；最好的方式，是飼主與愛鳥共同嘗試、提供多元食材、在享受中打造健康餐桌。
② 有推薦的「繁殖用（Breeding）」口味嗎？
breeding birds need a higher protein level, they could take any blend.
「任何混合都可以，但繁殖期的鳥需要額外補充較高蛋白。」
③ 喜歡大豆，可以混入嗎？
We do not use soybeans as it could cause a bird to become hormonal.
「我們不使用大豆，因其可能誘發發情。」
歐美普遍不建議給鳥類餵食大豆製品（如大豆油／豆粕／乾燥大豆等）。基於健康考量，本品牌刻意不使用大豆，亦建議飼主避免添加。
④ 聽說與獸醫或產業專家合作開發，能否說明？
Initially the blends were created with the guidance of a Avian Vet, since then we have a Animal Scientist PhD with focus on avian nutrition.
最初在鳥類獸醫的指導下開發，之後由專注於鳥類營養的動物科學博士（Animal Scientist PhD）持續參與監修。
目前由 Animal Scientist PhD（動物科學博士）擔任顧問。相較一般「鳥類營養師」職稱，Animal Scientist PhD 對動物生理的專業更為扎實、知識面向更廣也更深入。

日本對「加熱穀物」多持保留，也因此我們收到許多詢問。其實美國早期也不太建議，但如今鳥類專家（鳥類獸醫與Animal Scientist）認為在加熱後 4 小時內餵食是安全的，美國也已販售超過 10 年，請放心。詳請參見本篇部落格：The Truth About Rice For Parrots
